What Is Black Tea?
Black tea comes from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, however is fully oxidized, giving it a bolder flavor than green or white teas. Black tea remains the most popular tea in the US, and is enjoyed frequently as iced tea. The popularity of black tea is due mainly to the invention of the tea bag in 1904 by NYC tea merchant Thomas Sullivan.

Yes. Black tea contains about 50% of the caffeine in a cup of coffee.
