2008

Teatulia’s own 3,000-acre tea garden in Bangladesh becomes organic certified. Rocky Mountain Whole Foods is our inaugural customer, introducing consumers to the industry’s first garden-direct, premium whole leaf tea packaged using eco-friendly, biodegradable materials.

2009

Our corporate headquarters city magazine, Westword, names Teatulia’s pesticide-free teas Best of Denver®.

2010

Spiced up the product line with caffeine-free herbal teas, including zingy Ginger and refreshing Lemongrass.

2011

Newsweek tells the world how Teatulia changes lives in Bangladesh…with cows. We loan dairy cows to women in the community, the income they receive from milk sales helps lift them out of poverty, and they repay the loan in cow dung that fertilizes our tea garden. Everyone wins!

2012

Organic on Ice line makes a splash in Garbanzo fast-casual restaurants with award-winning Hibiscus Berry iced tea. Dartmouth becomes the first of many colleges & universities to serve our organic teas to its socially conscience students. Teatulia eco-canisters appear on shelves of Colorado’s favorite grocery chain, King Soopers. We open our first Tea Bar in Denver. What a year!

2013

Teatulia is the first Colorado tea brand to become certified as a B Corp, a group of companies committed to using the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. Launched a fine-cut tea line so more tea lovers can enjoy organic at an affordable price.

2014

Our commitment to biodiversity and sustainability is rewarded with Rainforest Alliance certification for our farm. ColoradoBiz Magazine names Teatulia a “Colorado Company to Watch”. Illegal Pete’s refreshes its beverage menu with our iced tea program. National supermarket chain Wegmans stocks Teatulia’s premium whole leaf teas.

2015

Forbes names Teatulia one of the “25 Most Innovative Consumer & Retail Brands”. Tokyo Joe’s captures water sales by introducing our fresh brewed iced teas to 55+ locations across Colorado. The industry is abuzz with the launch of Teatulia’s new line of Energy Teas.

2016

Our tea garden becomes the first in Bangladesh to achieve Fair Trade certification. Teatulia’s CEO receives the Specialty Food Association Leadership Award for Citizenship. We take the show on the road, sampling and selling organic tea at national Costco stores.

2017

Our trailblazing CEO, Linda Appel Lipsius, is named one of Food & Wine’s “20 Most Innovative Women in Food & Drink” for helping the company reach a lot of firsts.

2018!

Ten years in business! Teatulia shakes up the sugary soda and bottled tea category with its own line of organic Tea Soda packaged in sleek, recyclable aluminum cans.
